Top 5 Reasons Why How I Met Your Mother is the #1 Show on TV
Honourable mentions:
Ted Mosby – Although he sometimes comes across as a whiny loser, the man character does have his moments and delivers some memorable lines and scenes.
Guest Stars – It seems like every celebrity who can think of has had a guest spot on the show. The show is starting to compete with Entourage for who can have the most celebrities on a show. Almost all of the guest stars have been solid and added some nice flavour to the show.
#5 Older Ted
The voice of older Ted is that of the legendary Bob Saget. He is perfect as the narrator telling his poor kids the long version of how he met their mother. Saget should continue with the voice-overs since he has a great narrator voice.
#4 Marshal and Lily
A.K.A. Mr. and Mrs. Awesome. They are the best married couple on TV right now. The characters are so well rounded. It also helps that Jason Segal and Alyson Hannigan have crazy chemistry together and work well off one another. They also have some great moments individually.
#3 Robin Scherbatsky
Yes this is biased because I love my country, but Robin does a great job defending her country from her friend’s constant attacks on Canada. It’s too bad that this ex pop star is a Canucks fans. She would`ve been higher if she was an Oilers fan (yeah, I said it). Plus she is incredibly beautiful and a strong willed woman.
#2 The Writing
Let`s face it, without the writing this show would not be as awesome as it is. This show truly has the best writers in the business. The stories are fantastic; they weave comedy and drama into great scripts. And the dialogue that they come up with is priceless. It seems like every episode there is another one-liner that will be repeated forever. I should know since I am constantly quoting this show.
#1 Barney Stinson
Neil Patrick Harris may have been Doogie Howser years ago, but from now on he will forever be Barney Stinson: the most awesomest TV character ever (that’s his personal quote). He is so over the top that it is impossible to hate the legendary womanizer. He is easily the best character on TV right now. It is a damn shame that he hasn’t won an Emmy yet. Here’s hoping this year, the Emmys get it right.
