As much as I am indifferent to Russell Crowe, I have to admit the guy can carry a film.  The film wasn’t amazing, but it was a solid two hour flick written and directed by Canada’s own Paul Haggis.  It also co-starred the lovely and talented Elizabeth Banks, who is in my top 5 actresses.  We also get to see Daniel Stern and Liam Neeson for a scene each and both delivered memorable moments.  The action is more subtle and realistic than your average blockbuster.  The flick is more of a suspense making and the suspense builds quite nicely as Crowe prepares to break out his wife from prison.  Overall, it is a solid flick that is worth a watch, even though it could have been shorter.
Rating: 7/10
